Ok, I am starting this discussion because I am kind of fed up of being served paneer at every Goddamn restaurant. I like Paneer, but when you go to a primarily non veg place, the veg options are very limited and topping the charts is Paneer..
Paneer this
Paneer that
Paneer this and that....
Have come to a point where I dont want to look at anything with paneer in it!!
There are so many other options and yet this is the only thing many choose to serve.. Do you feel the same or am I the odd duck?

Lady that's indeed very sad. There are a variety of options but unfortunately if its not paneer the very next option is mushroom or corn. Well i guess we still need chefs to explore more and provide a greater variety. U can have awesome dishes made of zucchini, aubergines, squash and other such plates. Lets not restrict our palate to usual stuff like potatoes, paneer, mushroom and corn. I hope this would change soon :)

True. I absolutely agree. It's disappointing that for Vegetarians there are options in Paneer only. If not Paneer then it is Potato, Mushroom or Corn. There can easily be many dishes made out of fruits and vegetables and even popular vegetarian dishes like Cabbage, Cauliflower, Beans, Peas, Zucchini, Olives etc. Restaurants can easily take the necessary steps to incorporate more Vegetarian options in the Menu.

So true Aarti. It is very irritating for vegetarians to see just paneer as an option when there are a million vegetables that can be cooked and presented beautifully.I think restaurants just want to stick to the easy options than to take the effort to put up variety.Paneer is definitely losing it's charm!!
