There was a post today where someone said Broccoli is blah... Few days ago during lunch, a friend mentioned her husband hates lady fingers.. I never liked Kovakkai much. But the past few years saw a change in my taste buds, I now love kovakkai, have begun eating Brussel sprouts and Brocolli like they are my most fav.. Similarly, i am in love with bittergourd, a vegetable I hated the sight of.
any such changes you have been through? Be it veggies, fruits, or meat. Have you begun eating/avoiding certain things? Do share...

I used to hate MANGOES... but lately I've started eating it, though not as it is but with Ice creams and custard.
Mom says that I used to like DRUMSTICKS and GRAPES when i was kid, but I hate them now.
Love wine though and can have dried grapes in cereals. But I still hate drumsticks and esp can't stand sambars made with the same.
Must me nearly 10+ years since I had grapes and drumsticks.

I used to eat curd a lot (frozen yogurt packet) as a kid/growing up back in the Middle East. But stopped when I came down to Chennai and with College said goodbye to Curd. Now been over a decade since I have had what used to be my favorite.
Again as a kid till 12th grade or so - I never used to eat Boiled Egg, Fried Rice, Noodles, any type of Biryani but complete u-turn after coming down to Chennai, India and now do like the dishes a lot especially Biryani. I still hate Maggi 2 Minute Noodles though!

Exactly... Some vegetables that were a complete no no for me while growing up has now become some of my fav's... I think this change in perception is primarily because of the health benefits we know of the said vegetables...

I never used like most vegetables as a kid, now i eat everything, i think taste buds mature. Also used to hate sweets until before pregnancy, but suddenly i got a sweet tooth during pregnancy, fortunately (or fortunately) it has not left me afterwards too! I surprise myself now.
