if u r the types visiting pure veg mess/cafes like Rayar mess,Gomathi Mess,Jannal Kadai,then Mani Aiyer's cafe will appeal to u. Not just to that types alone,but even for a guy like me! This places is opened about a month back at 7th Avenue,Dr.Ambedkar Rd,Ashok Nagar. Diagonaly opp to Puthur Hi School or rather adjacent to LG Showroom. This is an unpretentious place with good food at low price,which is their USP. Do not expect ambiance & all that jazz,u've to stand & eat. The place can't hold more than 5 - 6 ppl at a time. Eating at their place on & off for the last 1 month I can vouch for the qlty. These guys r also running 2 similar restaurants in Singapore. They serve Brak-fast(Idly/Dosai/Poori/Pongal) Lunch (Lemon rice/samabar rice/Veg Biriyani/Curd Rice) & Dinner(Idly/Dosai/Chappathi) Evening snacks like Vadai,poli r also available. Do try it if u come by this part of the city.
