This is not for Moon & Six Pence,but Skillet the multi cuisine restaurant at Hablis. I was told,there's a Kebab festival going on in Skillet,Hablis & asked would you like to try it. My past few experiences at Hablis (Both Skillet as well as Moon & Six Pence) were very good & I lapped it up without any second thought along with 2 other friends. The idea is nicely executed. They have 12 Kebabs(9 Non - Veg & 3 Veg) u get to choose any 3 which is served in a plate along with a roti/naan Daal fry, Mint Chutney,roasted pappad,salad + A GLASS OF WINE! We tried 3 Non-veg combos & 1 Veg Combo. The Chef has added his own twist to every dish & every kebab tasted too good,so was the daal fry. One of the best in recent times. The Mexican Mutton steak was out of the world(This doesn't come with Roti but Cheese Bread & Green Salads!) Grilled Pineapple is another pick u shouldn't miss! It hit all the right notes. Each platter is a complete meal by itself & priced Rs.400/-incl of Taxes,which in my opinion is a Steal! Skillet is running this kebab festival till 30th May'14.

Recently Chennai Food Guide members were invited to The Moon and Sixpence at Hablis Hotel to check out their Pub Food. We all had an amazing time - Thanks to the hospitality of the Management and Staff of Hablis. The Pub is a complete recreation (with finishing materials shipped from Ireland) of a proper Irish Pub here in Chennai. They have a large Pub Setup (Probably the biggest in Chennai), A wonderful private lounge and a large smoking room with amazing woordwork and furniture - All exquisitely and painstakingly built. No Club rules for this customer friendly place. Family dining is welcome in here. They have a pool table and a fully set DJ Console to entertain along with large screen televisions to televise Rugby Matches as well as Cricket.
